Saving a little coin

Postby Ruger204 on Thu Jan 08, 2009 6:17 am

Well, since my brother decided to move to Virginia, I decide to start saving my spare change (literally) so that I had a good start to be able to drive out and visit him come next hunting season. I've been putting all of my pocket change in a 5 gallon water jug for about 3 months, in addition to my small scratch ticket winnings. Well, tonight I got bored and counted out what I thought was a meager pile (only 2 inches of coins in the bottom plus a few bills) and was very pleasantly surprised to find that I have already saved almost $300. Another 2 inches and I'll be just about there.

Lesson learned, I should have been saving all of my coins all along. I've saved more that way than by putting money in a savings account for the same amount of time.
If you're not having fun, you're not doing it right!
