Back in the Saddle

Hope everyone is doing great!!! It's been one crazy summer for me!!! I actually can't remember the last time I was here, but I think things started down hill on my birthday when I got hit on my scoot by a lady making a left turn from the right hand lane....I just happen to be in that left lane

Then my computer sort of blew up (or at least it sounded that way) when I turned it on. I knew it wasn't a good thing when smoke started coming out of the back of it. Actually it was a really loud popping sound, if I lived in the city instead of out in the country in the middle of no where I probably would have thought it was a drive-by and hit the floor, which would not have surprised my kids in the least. They would have just stepped over me and scratched their heads wondering "what is that woman doing now....probably some new style push-up she's trying out"...LOL!!!! Hey but if you'll notice "fun" is in the middle of dysFUNctional!!!

I found out though you don't realize how disconnected you are from the rest of the world when you live out in the middle of no where until you don't have a computer and internet access. We only get two very fuzzy bearly visible T.V. channels.....so it's been interesting. Most of the time I don't mind, but some times it's just nice to know what's going on out there in the rest of the world ;)

I had to have some surgery on my head to remove some cancer, but I'm doing great now. I finally got back on my scoot last week. I missed riding the whole summer and that was a real bummer. I still have to wear a bandage on my head cause the helmet hurts where the incission was done otherwise. But they gave me the most interesting hair style I do believe I've ever dawned.

My youngest son left for college down in Texas right after the 4th of July and while I'm so very proud of him, it's always so hard letting go, but I know he's going to continue to do great things. There's no doubt in my heart, I've been divinely blessed!!! I know this is an outdoor adventure site, but both Caitlin and Louis were in the Winnie the Pooh Play here at our local Theater and I'd love to share a few of the pics with y'all if that's okay. They both did a great job. Caitlin was the narrator and used a british accent quite well and Louis played the part of Eeyore perfectly!!!

I really have missed chatting with y'all and certainly hope your summers have been great and you've had a lot of wonderful outdoor experiences. I look forward to catching up on your adventures.

Great to be back in the saddle and here again!!!!

Take Care,

Maggie
