I got a new bow recently and have spent a little time getting used to it. Had it tuned this last weekend. What do you all think? Am I ready to hunt with it yet?

Ruger who made the bow? Shot the 82nd Airborne bow from BowTech a few weeks ago, and have added it on my wanna have gadgets list.

I don't know squat about bows but your shots look pretty good. So, why not head out on a hunt?

I traded my Ruger .40 SW for a Hoyt Xtec bow with a lot of candy. It's 3 years old and had only had 6 arrows shot through it. The guy I got it from doesn't shoot a release and this bow requires it due to the short A to A (35 1/2 inches). It's a laser beam.

I've heard a lot about the 82nd A/B and all of it good.

Oh Shar, BTW, the pictures don't show it as well as I'd hoped, but that's what you call a Robin Hood. It doesn't happen very often. Although I'm pretty happy that the bow is very consistent and I haven't lost much in the way of skills, it ruined 2 arrows and that's expensive. I hope that it's the only time I do it. LOL :lol:

Thanks Darlin'. I'm happy that I'm still able to shoot a bow well. Even though it's been several years since I've shot this much, it won't take long for me to get back into the groove. :lol:

I just did the math and I'm slinging sticks at about 291 fps. That's blazing. :grin:

Ha Ha...I'd be happy if I could shoot a bow and not end up with a black and blue arm. I haven't shot a bow in 30+ years so just image how black and blue I'd be if I tried now.

291 fps....ya don't say. I guess that's good but considering that I haven't a clue what fps stands for.... :?

I'm a novice....remember?????? I need some things splained to me and fps is one of those.

fps = feet per second
291 fps = 198 mph

Does that mean that you're gonna change your handle from Ruger204 into Hoyt Xtec Candy? :lol:

No way! I still have the .204. I need it for coyotes! Just the pistol went away. And thanks for the comment on the avatar, Alex. That's my family coat-of-arms from Scotland
